Install MyTVGuide on your Android TV box

Sideload the app in about two minutes with the Downloader app.

  1. 1On your TV box, install “Downloader” from the Play Store (orange icon).
  2. 2Open Downloader and enter: mytvguide.tv/downloads/mytvguide.apk
  3. 3When the download finishes, choose Install. If asked, allow Downloader to install unknown apps (Settings → Apps → Special access).
  4. 4Open MyTVGuide from your apps row. The 14-day free trial starts automatically — no card, no signup.
Note:Worth doing now: in Downloader, save mytvguide.tv/downloads/mytvguide.apk to your History/Favorites. You won't need it for routine updates (the app updates itself — see “Keeping MyTVGuide up to date”), but it's a handy fallback if you ever need to reinstall from scratch.
