Back up & restore your setup

Keep your connections, favorites and settings safe in the cloud.

A backup saves everything you'd hate to rebuild: your provider connections (including their login details), all three favorites lists, watch progress and your settings. It's stored privately in your own MyTVGuide account.

  1. 1Link your account first (one time): Settings → Account → “Link this TV” and follow the QR code.
  2. 2Settings → “Back up” — done in a few seconds.
  3. 3To restore (new box, or after a factory reset): install the app, link the same account, then Settings → “Restore”.
Note:Back up again whenever you've finished tuning your favorites — the backup keeps only your latest snapshot. Recordings are video files on the box/USB drive and are not part of the backup.

Still stuck? Two things fix most one-off problems before anything else: the 60-second reset ladder , and a refresh of your provider’s lineup. Neither touches your favourites, settings or connections.
