Using MyTVGuide

Getting more days in the TV guide

Your provider usually sends one or two days. You can layer a fuller guide on top of it.

The guide comes from your IPTV provider, and most providers send only a day or two ahead. MyTVGuide can add a second, fuller guide on top — more days, plus episode numbers and artwork your provider does not send at all.

  1. 1Settings → Sources → open your connection → Edit.
  2. 2Find “Extended guide” and choose “Choose”.
  3. 3Tick the countries your channels come from. If you already have favourites, the ones you watch are ticked for you.
  4. 4Press Back, then Sync when asked. It takes a few minutes.

What you get on a channel that matches:

Note:Not every channel will match, and that is normal. The extra guides name channels their own way, and where the two cannot be matched with confidence your provider's own guide is kept rather than showing you something that might be wrong. A channel with a short guide is a small disappointment; a channel showing another channel's programmes is worse.
Note:Each country you tick is downloaded every time the guide refreshes, and the size of each is shown next to it. Two or three is comfortable; ten will make every refresh slow. If a sync seems to take a very long time, check whether you have ticked a large one you do not need.

Still stuck? Two things fix most one-off problems before anything else: the 60-second reset ladder , and a refresh of your provider’s lineup. Neither touches your favourites, settings or connections.

If it is an account, billing or activation problem — or the steps above genuinely did not help — get in touch with your Support ID from Settings → Account.
