Getting recordings off the box

USB is the easy way — record straight to a stick and walk it anywhere.

Recordings are standard .ts video files, so the simplest workflow is to keep them on a USB drive from the start:

  1. 1Plug a USB drive into the box and give it a few seconds to mount.
  2. 2Left menu → Recordings → Change (next to the free-space bar) and pick the USB drive.
  3. 3New recordings now land on the stick. To move them to a computer, just move the stick — the files play in VLC or any video player.

Already recorded to internal storage? Install a file manager on the box (e.g. FX File Explorer or X-plore from the Play Store), open the MyTVGuide recordings folder shown at the top of the Recordings screen, and copy the files to the USB drive — or use the file manager's built-in FTP/LAN sharing to pull them over your home network without any stick.

Note:If the Recordings screen doesn't list your USB drive, unplug it, reformat it on a computer as exFAT or FAT32, and plug it back in — drives formatted as NTFS or left from another box are often invisible to Android.

Still stuck? Two things fix most one-off problems before anything else: the 60-second reset ladder , and a refresh of your provider’s lineup. Neither touches your favourites, settings or connections.

If it is an account, billing or activation problem — or the steps above genuinely did not help — get in touch with your Support ID from Settings → Account.
